Though I photograph a lot of people and life events. Seldom am I present for an actual question popping session! You can imagine my giddiness when I get a call to photograph a proposal, then – I feel like I’m on a secret mission in the name of love!
My session with Andrew and Kaila started out with Kailas dad Dan reaching out to me to see if I’d be able to help Andrew pull this off. The answer to this is always yes, by the way. Dan introduced Andrew and I over text. Then Andrew explained how it was going to all go down: He was going to propose to Kaila after a tour of the Wrigley Mansion here in Phoenix Arizona. It was a hot day and my heart was racing as if I was the one proposing!	Andrew_Kaila -7761
Andrew got down on one knee and Kaila caught him fiddling around with his sock. She knew one day it would happen. So today just like many others she thought "Could this be it? Is today the day?" Kaila was in shock as Andrew knelt before her with a box in hand. Andrew asked her to marry him somewhere In his lovely written proposal. She said OF COURSE!

Andrew did such a good job of orchestrating this whole thing and keeping it a secret from Kaila, which made for one of the most genuine and sweetest proposals! Not to mention the ring is gorgeous!

Andrea said "Our photo session was so relaxed. Family pictures make me really anxious. I feel nervous that my kids won’t cooperate or the dogs will get squirrely and I’ll be disappointed. Victoria was so calm, so wonderful with my boys and dogs that it kept my crazy at bay. She kept the boys laughing and our photos are full of genuine smiles. She was so sweet to give me sneak peeks and assure me everything was turning out beautifully."

We chose to do family pictures this year for two reasons, it’s been awhile and our oldest dog has bone cancer.
Victoria was the first person I thought of to capture her sweet spirit.

My review:

Victoria is a wonderful photographer who handles a family session with all the love and care you didn’t know you wanted and thankful that she brought it. I was so impressed with her easy nature with my boys and my dogs, that I was able to relax and enjoy the moment. She will forever and always be my go to gal. Rip Edison

I met Photographed Edison for the first time in 2012. I learned so much since then. I wish I would have had another opportunity to photograph him again. Eddy was one of those cool dogs. Lovingly stayed by his best friend all the time. Was that loyal companion who never failed to deliver a warm kiss or hug. I think he loved everyone and without a doubt everyone loved him. A life full of adventures is what he had. I'm honored to have known him.

RIP Edison. To Kerstyne and Annie, may you find peace in your hearts.

Here is the Cooper’s Hawk! What a beautiful bird, I can’t even believe it landed on my fence. I don’t know, photographing animals or just seeing them in the wild really feeds my soul. It’s like, show me all the animals! LOL ❤️ I feel Lucky that this hawk chose my fence to land on. I also feel lucky that he or she allowed me to get so unbelievably close. Tyson is one of the happiest puppies I may have met. I photographed him at Hoof and Paw Rescue. He had Mange when he was rescued. He is a brand new pup now! Ready to sit for treats, play with toys, or hop in your lap for snuggles. HIs entire body was wagging the entire time. Who ever adopts him really hit the jackpot.

Bald Eagle Sighting

I had never seen a Bald Eagle in the wild and I'm all about seeing animals thriving in their natural environment. We frequent our local lake, Lake Pleasant which is located in Arizona near North Phoenix. It's pristine waters cover over 10,000 acres of water surface and 116 miles of shoreline. They close off a large section of the lake between December 15-June 15 to allow the Bald Eagles to breed without being disrupted.

Yesterday I saw a Bald Eagle in the WILD! I still can't get over it. He/She flew out from near the water where he/she was hanging out with Turkey Vultures! My friend yells EAGLE EAGLE.... Then what do my eyes see amongst the black vultures?? A WHITE TAIL!

What a spectacular moment. I felt small yet so full of life. Moments like these are what make me feel fulfilled.

Then the one on the right runs over and makes the baby get up. We believe that is the babies momma! So we aren't sure about the heard dynamics but it seemed like she didn't like the darker donkey and heard him coming so they ended up running off after he showed up. Sad situation we contacted Arizona Game and Fish Department. Gave the location and hopefully they can get to the baby before the predators. If they can find the baby then a relocation to the heard will happen. What it looks like is the mom died and her baby is sitting next to the tree to the right. The mom is on the left where you now see Turkey Vultures. We realize this is nature however we felt if we did something the baby would have a chance. So keep this baby in your thoughts as his/her life goes into a different direction. Let us hope he/she is safe. Lake_Pleasant-9682

What an awesome family! Patty was inquiring online for a pet photographer after Roxie was diagnosed with cancer. I received an email from Patty "Hi there, Your work was overwhelmingly recommended on FB. We have 4 dogs and I'm interested in an outdoor shot of all 4 with the 2 of us - I know - tough task to get all 4 attentive, but it would be important as 2 are getting quite old". I couldn't be more honored or humble to receive such a message.

One thing I know for sure is this job was perfect for me. 4 dog YES PLEASE!

What does family look like to you? To me family is friendship, security, and most of all love. I can't imagine life without dogs. I guess it wouldn't even be worth imagining. Patti writes ~ When we found out we were expecting we knew we had to include our dogs in sharing the good news.

They are such an important part of our lives.

That's part of the reason we made a newborn puppy hat - so the newest addition will feel right at home with his or her (dog) siblings.

We are looking forward to this next chapter in our lives and and can't wait for the baby to join the Z Family Pack in May!

What a wonderful experience it was working with Victoria! She did such a wonderful job on our engagement photos, that we wouldn’t have gone to anyone else for family photos. She genuinely cares about the dogs and did a great job getting them to show their true personalities. Dogs must love stuffed toys. Your dog must be able to hold and or play with toys without your help.

DOG MODELING INFORMATION

Is your dog a born star?

Your dog must meet ALL of the following criteria.

know basic commands such as sit, down/drop, stay
off-leash trained is always a plus situations with good recall and not easily distracted by other dogs and people
located near Cave Creek, AZ of willing to travel
Must be available weekdays, weekends, morning, afternoon, evening (most of my sessions are weekday morning -afternoon)
must be willing to sign a model release for your dog and or yourself if you are in the photos
must be toy driven (must love playing with toys in ANY situation) if you aren't sure if your dog will play a toy casting isn't for you

	I cannot tell you enough how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures of the dogs!!! They turned out SO great!!!  I love the way their wrinkles show when they were running around. Hi Victoria,

That was fast! The photos are wonderful. Thanks so much for being open to everything we asked. I just love the ones of her running and when she has her eyes closed, smiling. She even looks a normal weight (not chunky) in some of the photos! And the one of her laying in the grass, staring at the camera with a somber look is typical of her. And the 2 of her with our neighbor are really great. You make this really tough for choosing!!!
